The Lake Villa Township Republican Club (LVTRC) is a community based organization. Our members are comprised of elected officials and many residents located in and outside of Lake Villa Township. We support many political and non-political causes. Our members (more than 50 active members) are actively involved in many community events.
The LVTRC raises community awareness by hosting forums and supports other community organizations by organizing fundraisers. The LVTRC:
- organizes Candidate Forums to allow candidates running in local, county, state and federal elections to meet the community and answer questions
- educates voters by delivering candidate literature prior to elections and assisting on election day
- schedules guest speakers at the monthly meetings to discuss local issues
- holds an annual golf outing in the summer to raise funds
- holds an annual 5K walk/run to raise funds for community groups
Monies raised during our events are distributed back to the community by donating to:
- Lake Villa Township Food Pantry
- Scholarship fund for Lake Villa Township Students
- Representative Tim Osmond Fund
The Club usually meets the third Thursday of each month at the Lake Villa Township Center (Caboose Park) at 7:30pm. The Township Center is located on Fairfield Road just south of Grand Avenue.
Annual membership dues are only $5.00
